Last week Sarah received a Finalist Award in the 2013 NSW Australian of the Year Awards, Local Hero Category. Held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Sarah received her award from Premier Barry O’Farrell and was thrilled to meet fellow finalists Dr. Anita Heiss, Dr. Steve Flecknoe-Brown and winner Shane Phillips. The Footpath Library was excited to be mentioned in Premier O’Farrell’s opening speech and to have such wonderful feedback from those attending the event.
