Include a gift in your will to help people experiencing homelessness engage with books and reading through The Footpath Library

How would you like to be remembered?

When you decide to include a gift to The Footpath Library in your will, whatever the size of the gift may be, you are helping people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness to be able to get access to free quality books, reading glasses and knitted goods such as beanies, scarves, socks and blankets.

The Footpath Library is Australia’s only free-giving mobile library outreach service for people experiencing homelessness, and since 2007, we have given away more than 60,000 books to men, women and children.

As a small, grassroots non-profit, The Footpath Library receives no government funding, and all our mobile library services are operated via dedicated teams of volunteers, with books generously donated by Australian publishers. We keep our operational costs low so we can ensure donations from our generous supporters goes to where it is needed the most.

Homelessness does not discriminate, and with the rising costs of living and housing stress, more Australians are being pushed below the poverty line. A bequest to The Footpath Library enables us to keep out services open and operating, as well as extend our programs into new locations to help more people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

It’s simple to include a bequest. All your solicitor needs is The Footpath Library’s ABN 29 128 893 667 and registered name (The Footpath Library Limited). Your generosity can make the world of difference by putting books in the hands of men, women and children in Australia who are experiencing homelessness.
