The Footpath Library is the only organisation in Australia that provides mobile library outreach services to people experiencing homelessness. We are a small, registered charity that relies on donations and in-kind support and receives no government funding for the work that we do.
Your donation can make a valuable contribution to ensuring that we can continue to operate our mobile libraries and provide free quality books, reading glasses, cups of tea and conversation to people experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness.
- $15 is the cost of a pair of reading glasses
- $25 is about the price of a book
- $35 provides for a book and a pair of reading glasses
- $100 provides four books
- $150 enables one of our volunteers to attend Lifeline’s Accidental Counsellor training workshop
We know the positive impact a book can make to someone on the streets or in a shelter. We know a welcoming smile, a cuppa and a chat at our mobile library can make a real difference to someone’s day.
